Himalayan Quartz

Himalayan Quartz carries that mountain energy, it allows us to amplify our energy to mountainous proportions bringing with it clarity and the ability to manifest. Himalayan Quartz offers a higher vibration...

Have you ever stood beside a mountain? Back in Canada, Jayden and I would always go for weekend trips to the mountains and let me tell you when you are standing at the base of them you feel overwhelmed by the sheer power, quiet strength and ancient knowledge that these behemoths carry. It is so awe inspiring that even I am speechless… It’s the only memory I have that’s quiet to be honest, y’all know how much I love to talk! Himalayan Quartz carries that mountain energy, it allows us to amplify our energy to mountainous proportions bringing with it clarity and the ability to manifest.

Himalayan Quartz is a rare variety of quartz that formed within the Himalayan Mountains, I know the naming of some of these crystals are VERY original! The Himalayan Mountain range runs through the countries of Nepal and Bhutan, as well as creating the border between India and China. The mountains themselves are said to carry a highly spiritual atmosphere around them. This is totally understandable given the countries that border them are the epicenters of some of the world’s most deeply rooted spiritual practices. In addition to that, the Himalayan Mountain range also boasts the highest physical altitude of any land mass on our planet. For me, it makes sense that crystals from this region would be imbued with some pretty intense energy!

Himalayan Quartz is pretty unique in the way that it can form in a variety of different sizes and shapes; such as quite thick prismatic clusters all the way to skinny needle-like points. Although quartz itself is quite strong, this particular variety is quite fragile. This is due to the fact that the matrix on which it grows (the base) is quite brittle. Another really cool fact about Himalayan Quartz is that it can also have inclusions of other metals or minerals within, thus causing the colour to change. My personal favourite is Himalayan Quartz with Hematite inclusions (the light iron inclusions inside of it cause it to turn a light pink). My favourite statement piece in my home is my VERY prismatic Pink Himalayan Quartz; when the light hits it just right it casts a rainbow through my house.

Energetically, Himalayan Quartz is like Clear Quartz in that it is all about manifestation, clarity and amplification. However, there are some slight differences. Imagine, Clear Quartz is like the wholesome boy in school that you know will treat you nice, but Himalayan Quartz is like his older brother that is like ripped, is in uni and listens to podcasts about trusting your intuition and he loves to travel. I don’t know about you, but I know which of these two I’d be taking home…hehe! Some people find that working with Himalayan Quartz offers a higher vibration to work with and can elevate their consciousness to newer heights and (although I personally have not experienced this yet) some people also believe in the ability for this crystal to help access one’s past lives through meditation. Regardless of whether you are drawn to the rugged mountainous beauty of Himalayan Quartz or not, it is hard to deny that this particular crystal carries A LOT of energy.
